COURSE OVERVIEW
A First Aider can renew their First Aid at Work qualification (Level 3/ Level 6 in Scotland) by attending a 2-day requalification course if it's within 1 month of expiry.
If the qualification has lapsed between 1 and 3 months, they may still attend the 2-day course if special considerations apply, such as:
1. A signed letter from the employer stating the First Aider is suitably experienced.
2. The training provider agrees, after discussion, that the First Aider's experience is sufficient.
If the lapse exceeds 3 months, the First Aider must complete the full 3-day FAW course.
ASSESSMENTS and
CERTIFICATION
Practical assessments are conducted throughout the entire duration of the course. A written assessment is required for Unit 2, and certification is valid for 3 years.
